Terminology
This page lists all the terms used in this documentation and in the bot. Refer to this page whenever you encounter unfamiliar terms.
Chat
A chat in Telegram can be a user, bot, group, or channel—essentially any place where you can send or receive messages.
Example:
When you send /start to @Auto Forwarder Bot, you start a chat with that bot.
Source Chat
A source chat is any chat from where you want to copy messages. This is usually a chat where you are not an admin.
Example:
Suppose you want to copy messages from Channel A to Channel B. All messages sent to Channel A will be forwarded to Channel B by the bot.
Here, Channel A is the source chat.
Destination Chat
A destination chat is any chat where you want to copy messages. This is a chat where you are an admin.
Example:
Suppose you want to copy messages from Channel A to Channel B. All messages sent to Channel A will be forwarded to Channel B by the bot.
Here, Channel B is the destination chat.
Note: You MUST have message-sending privileges in the destination chat. You should be an admin with permission to send messages if the destination chat is a channel.
Text Transformation
The term filter refers to the complete system of blacklist, whitelist, and text replacement.
Filter may sometimes be used as a shorthand for text replacement.
Text Replacement
Text replacement is the process of replacing certain parts of a message with different text.
Example:
