Blacklist

Blocking Certain Content

What It Does

The /add_blacklist command allows you to block messages that contain specific words or phrases. Messages that contain any blacklisted terms will not be forwarded to the outgoing chat.

Prerequisite

  • Incoming and Outgoing Chats Configured: You must have both /incoming and /outgoing chats set up for the blacklist to work.

How to Use It

  • Add words or phrases you want to block using the command format: /add_blacklist WORDS_TO_BLOCK Example: /add_blacklist SPAM or /add_blacklist BUY NOW.

  • Auto Forwarder Bot will check all incoming messages. If they contain blacklisted terms, they won’t be forwarded.

    Add blacklisted words Auto_Forwarder_Bot

Important: All blacklist, filter, and whitelist terms are case-sensitive. This means that "spam" and "SPAM" are treated as different terms. You need to ensure that you input the exact case (uppercase or lowercase) of the word or phrase you want to block, filter, or whitelist. For instance, if you add "SPAM" to the blacklist, messages containing "spam" (lowercase) will still get through.

Real-Life Use Cases

  • Blocking Spam: If your group receives unsolicited advertisements or messages with keywords like "buy now" or "promo," blacklist those terms to prevent them from being forwarded.

  • Offensive Content: In a professional or family chat, you can blacklist inappropriate words to ensure the forwarded messages remain clean and respectful.

  • Sensitive Information: If your group discusses sensitive topics, blacklist terms like "confidential" or "private" to ensure that those messages don't get forwarded outside the group.

Removing a Blacklisted Word

If you want to remove a word from the blacklist:

  • Use the /rem_blacklist command.

  • A list of your blacklisted words will appear, each with a number.

  • Select the word you want to remove by typing its corresponding number.

After removal, messages containing the word will no longer be blocked.
